Somewhere In The In-Between

Where the sky kisses the sea
lies the in between
and I’d like to think that’s where we are.
In theory,
we know it sounds poetic
but in practice, it’s impossible.
So there we are,
somewhere in the in between of what could be,
but isn’t.

I'd like to to think that's where we are. Somewhere in the in-between of what we could have been. In between the skies and the sea, my palms and the beach. In between the love and hate I carry for you and in between the comfort I take in being able heal successfully and constantly crying over something that is dead. 

"I miss you. I want you back. I want what we had back." 

That is exactly what I would have on May 1st. May 2nd.

But most certainly not on June 1st. Nor June 2nd. You know it takes time; things take time. It takes time to love. To heal. To let go and To be happy. You should never be afraid to go at your own pace, don't let other people fool you. The hardest thing might come the easiest to them.

And somewhere in the in-between, I would take you back. I would love you again. Caress your cheeks and wipe your tears. I would root for us as how much I root for my bestfriends to be happy.

But this isn't that place. We are not somewhere in the in-between. We are at the end. The end of a next journey. The end of a love story. The end of agony and the beginning of pleasure.

And as I'd like to say, the end of an era.
