Insicurezze

When you look at yourself

Why do you frown

Why do you make that sound

Are you disgusted

By your appearance

By the shape of your teeth

Why won’t you smile

You’re only here for a while

I see that you have insecurities

But why settle for it

You don't know your worth

So people treat you like dirt

They stomp all over you

And then you sob and cry

And all we do is sigh

We never help you

So we watch you cry for help

Your friends laugh at you

They judge you and grudge you

Yet you still hang out with them

Lose those friends

They are harming your mental health

And making insecure

Are you still not sure?

How do you feel around them?

Are you constantly in a den

Do you feel like you can't be yourself

You're constantly judging yourself

"I need to lose weight"

"I need new clothes"

But why can't you just wait?

And make the pose

You have to enjoy where you are

So it can prepare you for

Where you are about to be

You should be smiling

As you're still on your feet

You're surviving

You're thriving

But that's simply not enough

I am not the media

And I am not your school

I am simply giving you the truth

Only your best is good enough

And I know your tough

You can do so much better

You may be on your last piece

But who says you can't be free

It becomes so much easier

When you see the bigger picture

And here comes your attachment issues

Driving you insane

Holding you back

Trying to make you look like crap

Or do you have detachment issues?

I hate reality too

It sticks like a glue

And I honestly have no clue

It comes and goes

So I stopped putting on a show

Wish you the best

While you put up with the rest
